Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Poomp handles information when you use the iPhone app, Apple Watch app, and widgets.

Information You Enter

Poomp lets you record bowel movements, including their time, an optional consistency selection, and optional notes. The app also stores information needed to manage each record, such as its creation and update times, time zone, and whether it came from your iPhone, Apple Watch, or widget. Poomp uses this information to show your records, history, and summaries.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Your records are stored locally on your devices. Poomp and its extensions may keep local data needed for features such as widgets and Apple Watch recording. Poomp does not operate its own server for storing your personal records.

iCloud sync is optional and is off unless you turn it on. If you enable it, Poomp syncs your records and selected preferences through Apple's iCloud services associated with your Apple Account. Records are stored in your private iCloud database. Poomp's developer does not receive a copy of those records through a Poomp-operated server. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies.

Your iCloud Choice

You can turn iCloud sync on or off in Poomp's Settings under “Data & Privacy.” Turning it off stops that device from sending and receiving further changes. It does not delete records already stored on that device or in iCloud, and it does not turn off sync on your other devices. Previously synced information may become available again if you turn sync back on.

Exporting and Sharing

You can export your records as CSV or as an AI-Ready JSON file. Poomp prepares the file on your device and opens the system share sheet. Poomp does not automatically send your records to an AI service. If you choose to share an export with another app, person, or service, that recipient handles the information under its own privacy practices. Exported files may contain sensitive information, including anything you entered in notes.

Purchases and Notifications

Apple processes purchases of Golden Poomp through the App Store. Poomp checks your purchase entitlement and keeps a local setting needed to show purchased appearance options. Poomp does not receive your payment card details.

If you enable reminders, Poomp uses Apple's notification system to schedule them. You can disable reminders in the app or change notification permission in your device settings.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Poomp does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. It does not sell your records, use them for advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

How Long Information Is Kept and How to Delete It

Local records remain on a device until you delete them in Poomp or remove the app from that device. You can delete individual records, or use Settings → Record Management → Delete All Records. Removing the app from one device does not necessarily delete records already stored in iCloud or on other devices.

When iCloud sync is enabled, deletions made in Poomp are intended to sync to iCloud and your other devices. Sync can take time or fail while a device is offline. Turning iCloud sync off by itself does not delete previously synced data. To remove synced records, keep sync enabled while deleting them and allow time for the changes to reach your other devices. You can also review Apple's iCloud storage controls for data associated with Poomp. Apple controls the retention of data within its services and backups.

Deleting records does not erase your App Store purchase history or necessarily remove preferences stored in iCloud. If you need help with your data choices, contact us at the address below. Because your private iCloud data is associated with your Apple Account, Poomp's developer cannot directly delete it on your behalf.

Contacting Support

If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and any files or details you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive records unless they are needed for support. You may ask us to delete your support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Poomp changes. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.
